    RESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATOR

     

    MERT Enterprises, Inc. is accepting applications for a full-time Residential Administrator (RA).  This is a 40-45 hrs/wk. salaried position with a flexible schedule working with a small team of RAs.  The duties include on-call rotation to include one weekday “after hours” coverage and rotating weekend coverage which could included handling crisis calls, shift call outs / covering of shifts.  

     

    Responsibilities include but not limited to: The RA must be willing to work with their RA teammates on scheduling, consumers’ issues and DSP staffing needs.  Must be key link for all support needs of our consumers, coordinate with CCM/ISC , families, employment in community and center-based community programs, volunteer positions, all medical, dental and mental health and medication appointments.  The RA position also supervises a team of DSPs, provides in-home and community training, remains current with all MERT required training and certifications, and provides supervision and role modeling  to all DSP and direct care staff. The RA participates in Admin meetings, RA Team and house meetings, pre-planning and PCP meetings and always represents the agency and its Consumers and Employees with dignity and respect.  

     

    Qualifications include having at least 2 years Direct Care experience, supervisory experience and training, degree in human service field or related field is a plus! Background experience working with people with Intellectual, Physical and Mental Health disabilities & Autism is preferred.  Employment at MERT Enterprises, Inc. is contingent upon being able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record (DMV) check, APS (Adult Protective Services), CPS (Child Protective Services) check and professional reference check.   Applicants will also be required to furnish proof of the highest level of education completed.  Personal vehicle use is required as-needed to transport our consumers – your vehicle must seat four people comfortably, have working seat belts, your name listed on the current auto liability insurance and vehicle should be available 24/7.  Additionally, applicant should have good, legible handwriting skills to document consumer information, keep accurate and detailed staff notes and duty logs, monthly reports, incident reports and seizure reports.  Strong reading comprehension skills are needed to understand medical information and consumer’s personal information being passed-on regularly, and to promote staff development.  Verbal communication is essential to convey information to other team members, supervisors and visitors or family members of the consumer.  Applicants should also understand they may be responsible for administering daily medications to our consumers.  

     

    Pay Rate is based on related experience.  A generous benefits package is included.    AA/EOE
